the beginning

Ingrained was founded by Ryan Kidd in Brooklyn, NY. Formed out of necessity of making a small apartment work for both him and his wife, he began building custom pieces within their apartment to transform the way they lived and enjoyed the space. After having people over their house to come visit, it was apparent there was a lot of interest in customizing people's spaces into their own unique vision.

Ingrained’s purpose is to create custom furniture and millwork that is built to last for your current space as well as your next space. All of our products are handmade, built to order, and able to be shipped directly to you. So please let us help you transform your space into your dream. 

about the founder

Ryan has a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Philadelphia University and has been working in Design/Build for 10 years. He lives in Brooklyn, NY with his wife and enjoys camping, fishing, and spending time in the woodshop. He is interested in the idea of combining different materials to have a unique final product as result of exploration, experiments, and tinkering in the shop.
